Project Description: PAI was selected by the City of La Quinta to provide Architectural and Interior Design for the renovation of the 10,000 SF La Quinta Senior Center in addition to adding 6,000 SF of new construction and transforming the entire facility into a City owned and operated Health and Wellness Center. The scope of work included a design/build delivery system for the construction of the Project. The existing building interiorswere completely renovated with new furniture and finishes that seamlessly blended into the newly programed spaces. These spaces included a new Leisure Enrichment Room, an Arts Room, a Computer Classroom, new Restrooms with showers, a 600 SF Aerobics Room, a 2,500 SF Fitness Center. Outdoor spaces were renovated and furnished with resin type furniture with oversized cushions. The work included, but was not limited to, site preparation, site utilities, construction of new building structure, new electrical power distribution and lighting systems. Project cost was $3.2M.

Project Description: Design Development and Construction Documentation for this new 15,000 sq. ft. 3-building Spiritual Complex which consists of a new acoustically designed Chapel, a Classroom building and a Multi-purposeBuilding with commercial cooking facilities and Corp offices. The completed project has provided basic community services to the City of Cathedral City which were lacking since previously adopted budget cuts were initiated by the City. Project cost was $3.5M.

In 2009, PAI was invited back to design an Emergency Vehicle Garage which houses the Salvation Army’s mobile Food Kitchen in the event of a major catastrophic incident. Project cost was $900K.

In 2013, PAI was engaged to begin the design and planning for a 10,000 SF Gymnasium and Classroom Building which will begin construction in late 2015 and was completed in mid 2016.

LA QUINTA CITY HALL EXPANSION
LA QUINTA, CA

Project Description: PAI was selected through the RFP process as Architect on this 22,000 SF expansion to the 13-year old 30,000 SF City Hall. The Project also included major renovations of existing facilities and additions to the existing City Hall as well as 6,000 SF subterranean Emergency Operations Center (EOC) with generator back up power making the EOC “Command Central” for the City in the event of a major catastrophic event. Project cost was $9.5M.

PALM DESERT CORPORATION YARD
PALM DESERT, CA

Project Description: Selected through an RFP process, Pearson Architects provided full Architectural & Engineering services for the 25,000 SF corporation yard facility to accommodate City maintenance services for the rapidly growing City of Palm Desert. The project included detached/covered wash areas for City vehicles, a detached/covered fueling station, and a full power backup for the entire facility; as well as a 5,000 SF City warehouse area.
